Energie-Nederland is satisfied with the plans presented by Netbeheer Nederland because there is a strong focus on grid expansion. It is good that the grid operators are announcing a different approach and want to work on a national implementation strategy, something that Energie-Nederland has been advocating for some time.

Chairperson Cora van Nieuwenhuizen: “We are pleased that serious efforts are being made to accelerate, among other things, permit procedures. We do not yet know what the plans mean for companies that are still on a waiting list. But we accept the offered hand and are happy to think about pragmatic solutions and how the implementation agenda can be filled.”

Expanding and strengthening the electricity grids are essential for a successful energy transition. Energie-Nederland will study the published draft investment plans and submit a formal response to the consultation.
