As Tempelman (1970) has been appointed chairman of Eneco’s Board of Directors as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective July 1, 2020. He previously worked for Shell, where he was Vice President Gas Ventures for Asia from 2016 and held board positions in Brunei, Oman and Malaysia. Tempelman has held several senior management positions within Royal Dutch Shell’s downstream and natural gas operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Tempelman began his career with Shell in 1995 with strategic, operational and commercial positions in Rotterdam and London. Tempelman studied business economics (MSc) at Erasmus University Rotterdam and took several leadership courses at IMD Business School in Lausanne.
