The common thread running through Lukas’ career is the intersection between energy and politics. After serving effectively in the European Parliament and the House of Representatives, he worked in Texas (US) on a partnership between the Netherlands and Texas in the field of smart cities and smart networks. Back in the Netherlands, his career path took him via a lobby office and a network operator to spokesman of three successive ministers. Since 2024, Lukas has bundled these experiences to become Public Affairs Manager at Energie-Nederland and tries to help develop the policy that energy companies need to advance the transition.
